Winners CKI

... two groups of CHORA's BA studio 'Urban Gallery - innovative infrastructure solutions' were amongst the winners of the CKI (Center of Knowledge Interchange) open idea contest on digitalization, organised by Siemens and TU Berlin. Each group won a prize of € 1000 and consultation with experts of the field. We would like to congratulate the groups 'Smart Forest' (Umid Alizade, Paul Harries, Jerome Müller, Florian Tropp) and 'EcoBikes' (Olga Bialczak, Tarek Dweidari, Katherina Kocol, Firas Zeno) to their outstanding work they have done in this very short amount of time. The groups had the chance to present their work and were honoured by Dr. Roland Busch (Member of the Managing Board, Siemens AG), Prof. Christian Thomsen (President of TU Berlin) and Barbara Berninger (Senate Department for Urban Development and the Environment) in the CKI conference on 'Designing Berlin's Digital Infrastructures'.

The goal of the studio supervised by Prof. Raoul Bunschoten and given by Svea Heinemann, Irina Pienaru and Georg Hubmann was to integrate two or more urban systems in order to create innovative ideas and prototypes to address the topics digitalisation and climate change.
